Ok, so on Wednesday I woke up with my face swollen from a really bad sunburn. I was taken to Urgent Care. I am now placed on Steroids(with prednazone, so I can’t go out in the sun) I am also using Silver Sulfadiezine. All of the was caused from 6 hours in the sun from BAND CAMP!! And now I have to QUIT marching!!!!!! I am either stuck in Pit, or the stands because I can not practice with the rest of my band during the day. Anyway, just warning everyone now, If you ever decide to join band, make sure that you apply sunscreen more than 2 times. I know they won’t give you much time to, if any, but MAKE THEM. My friend also passed out from a sun stroke and went home to non-stop vomiting. I am not dissing Marching Band, because I truly love it. You just need to fight for the rights to your health. Do NOT let Marching Band put you in bad Health. Today is the first Friday since I woke up with my face so swollen that my uncle saw a picture of my face and almost could not recognize me. My forehead is no longer so swollen, but I woke up this morning almost unable to open my right eye. Take CARE of YOURSELVES!!! Music is important, but your health MORE SO!!!
